Indian equity markets closed higher as upbeat cues from the global markets helped to boost the market sentiments. Investors remained hopeful that the geopolitical conflict in the middle east will not spread to other counties. Further, encouraging earning updates from some of the index heavy weights also contributed to the upside of the benchmark indices.
